Radio Repair / Restoration
Celebrating our 41st Year
1980 - 2021

The Antique Radio Club of Illinois, is a nationwide family of over 500 people dedicated to the preservation of antique radios and related items. We have bi-monthly meetings and regularly draw collectors and enthusiasts from all over the Midwest.

We now have monthly live on-line video meets containing presentations and more!
When Restore Illinois attains Phase 5 status (Covid no longer a threat), we again meet face to face:
We meet six times per year offering seminars, swap meets and equipment contests. Our Spring, Fall and Winter meets are held at The American Legion hall in Carol Stream, IL.

At our annual Radiofest, we sponsor seminars and displays on various topics related to restoration, historical presentations and helpful "how-tos" for Radiofest attendees. During the Summer months, we have two special meets in June and August each year. Our June meet is a combined meet with the amateur radio 6-Meter Club of Chicago and is held at the DuPage County Fairgrounds in Wheaton, IL.
August brings our nationally renowned, two-day event ...              Radiofest!

RADIOFEST 2022 August 5th and 6th

Illinois remains at Covid Phase 4 of the “Restore Illinois Plan”.  Phase 5 is the level needed to “re-open” Illinois and to allow events such as Radiofest to fully resume. Radiofest arrangements must locked-in now. Arrangements cannot be made due to indoor gathering size restrictions. Therefore Radiofest 2021 is canceled.

Local outdoor swap meets resumed in April. Plans are to continue them in June, August and perhaps October.

Radiofest 2022 at the Shriners facility is planned for August 5th and 6th, 2022.  Please circle those dates on your calendars. Watch for updates.

In parallel to swap meets, be sure to stay connected by participating in the ARCI on-line monthly meets (next meet is May 15th). On-line meets are a way to learn about radio history and technology.
